What happens after your first year
Twelve months ago you did something most people only talk about. You built a real second home in the Philippines: an apartment in your name, a Philippine tax number, a local bank account, documents with government stamps on them.
Then life carried on. Work, family, travel. And the papers in that folder kept their dates.
A lease runs for a year. Banks like a residence certificate issued in the last three months. A bank account likes to see money move now and then. A Philippine SIM wants to stay in use. Each of these is small. Together they decide whether your base holds up on the day someone asks for it.
That day comes. A private bank in Singapore opening an account for you. Your accountant at home. A tax authority writing to ask where you actually live. On that day you want a current lease, a fresh certificate and one file that tells the whole story.
That is what the Concierge year is for. The team in Davao keeps everything current, every year, and you get on with your life.
Two ways to keep your base

Your Residence File: your year in Davao in one dossier
Most people keep their documents in a drawer and find out what is missing when a bank asks.
You receive one dossier for every year, in English, ordered and dated: your lease, your residence certificate, your BIR certification and tax return where you have them, and a log of the days you entered and left the country. When a bank, your accountant or a tax office asks where you live, you send one file.
Tax return and BIR certification
Many clients file a Philippine tax return voluntarily, because a filed return is strong evidence of a real base and banks sometimes ask for one. If you want to file, we handle the accountant for you, including returns with some modest local income. The accountant's fee is invoiced separately through us. For most clients it is a moderate amount, and we confirm it once the accountant knows your income.
If you hold an SRRV, we also obtain the BIR's certification of your resident alien status every year. It is an official document from your Revenue District Office confirming that you are taxed in the Philippines on Philippine-source income only, and anyone you show it to can verify it by email with the issuing office.
Making Davao permanent
Many clients use their second year to make Davao permanent. With an SRRV, the BIR confirms your status in writing every year, and that certification becomes the strongest page in your Residence File. If you move up to an SRRV or Quota visa during your Concierge year, half of your Concierge fee counts toward the visa package.

Questions
When does my Concierge year start?
The day your first year ends, and we invoice on that anniversary each year. If your first year has already run out, it starts the day you order, and the team brings everything up to date first.
Can I switch from Base Keeper to Davao Resident?
Yes, at any time. You pay the difference for the rest of your Concierge year.
Do I need to file a Philippine tax return?
That depends on your situation, and adding one is your choice. Many clients file voluntarily, because a filed return is strong evidence of a real base.
What official proof of my tax status do I get?
With an SRRV, the BIR's yearly certification of your resident alien status, verifiable with the issuing office. Every client also has their BIR registration, lease, residence certificate and, if they choose, a filed return.
What does the accountant cost?
For most clients a moderate amount. The exact figure is confirmed once the accountant knows your income, and it appears as a separate line on our invoice.
How do I get documents and post?
Your document set comes by courier once a year, and your mail in Davao is scanned and emailed to you. Ask senders to use tracked mail or a courier, which reaches you fastest. Extra courier dispatches are $149 each.
What comes on top of the Concierge price?
Government fees, visa fees, transport and third-party fees such as the accountant, each invoiced as it arises.
